🔽 How to Choose Your Size
Measure the “maximum width” of your natural nail in a straight line. Compare it with the size chart to select the appropriate size.

🙌 Size Chart
| Approx. Width of Natural Nail | Basic Fit (B) | High Curve Fit (H) |
|---|---|---|
| 9–11 mm | Size 1B | Size 1H |
| 11–13 mm | Size 2B | Size 2H |
| 13–15 mm | Size 3B | Size 3H |
| 15–17 mm | Size 4B | Size 4H |
🎇 Tips for Choosing Your Size
The nail in the image is 12 mm wide, which corresponds to Size 2. There are two fit types: Basic Fit and High Curve Fit.
If you’re unsure, we recommend starting with Basic Fit.
Basic Fit
Recommended for nails with a relatively flat surface.
Choose from sizes 1B, 2B, 3B, or 4B.
High Curve Fit
Recommended for nails with a higher arch and more curvature.
Choose from sizes 1H, 2H, 3H, or 4H.
👌 How to Measure the Width of Your Natural Nail
SABI P!CKS are designed to match the straight-line width of your nail.
While fashion nails measure along the curve of the natural nail, SABI P!CKS use a different design approach.
🌀 Three Key Points
These are guidelines to check during nail tip shaping to make the process smoother.
Set Point (Set) – Center of the Tip
The point where the curve begins. Important when shaping the nail tip.
Base Point (Base) – Cuticle Area
Serves as a reference point when attaching the tip.
Gap Point (Gap) – Final Line
Position a certain number of millimeters from the cuticle. This part sits over the nail matrix.
🔧 Guitar Nails QUICK|Shaping Procedure
The full length of the tip is 30 mm, with the curve starting from the center.
There is a ● mark at the front and a Set Point mark at the center.

First, determine the Set Point, then mark the Base Point and Gap Point.
Example:
- Set the Set Point approximately 3 mm from the tip of the nail
- Mark the Base Point at the cuticle area
- Set the Gap Point approximately 3 mm from the Base Point
Note: The exact placement of the Set Point and Gap Point may vary based on individual preference.
First, determine the Set Point—this time, 3 mm from the tip.
Next, mark the Base (cuticle area) and Gap (usually 3 mm from the Base).
Then, cut at the Gap position.

Round the corners and smooth both the inner and outer edges.

Shape the tip of the nail. Align it with the Base and temporarily secure the tip.

For detailed explanations of Tape Comparison, Set, Base, and Gap, click here.
Roughly cut the tip with nail clippers. When temporarily securing, using tape prevents side-to-side movement, making the process smoother.

There’s no special technique required. Shape the nail just as you would when normally trimming or filing your nails.

The Base serves as a reference when attaching the tip. It’s recommended to make a mark that won’t disappear (preferably on the inside of the tip).

Finish the entire surface using waterproof sandpaper around #1000 grit.
Use water during the process.

Finished. There’s nothing particularly difficult.
- Left image: Polish with the green side of the nail buffer for a subtle matte finish.
- Right image: Polish with the white side of the nail buffer for a nice, clear finish.

Polish with sandpaper #1500 or higher and buff for a shiny finish.
Be careful not to erase the Base Point!

And it’s complete. You can shape it easily, just like you would your natural nails.

Various Nail Shapes — Optimized for Your Playing Style —
The shape of your nail can vary greatly depending on the instrument and playing style.
Only the player themselves can truly feel where the string is caught and where it releases.
Because every player is different, there’s no need to make the pick match your natural nail width exactly.
In fact, shifting it slightly to the left or right often results in a more natural and comfortable fit.
🔧 Guitar Nail QUICK | Attachment & Removal
Prepare your natural nails. Wash your hands to keep them clean, then lightly smooth the surface with a nail buffer. Use the white side for polishing.
Simply smooth and polish your natural nails!

🐲 About the Attachment Method
It’s enough to attach the tip over the front half to two-thirds of your natural nail.
If you glue the entire surface, the tip may press on the nail root and cause pain.

Align the base, then press the tip down lightly from the front to attach it.
When applying, gently press the nail tip so that the gap point (the edge of the adhesive area) lifts just slightly — this gives the best fit.

For UV tape, cure it under a UV light.

The Essence of Natural Nails — How to Care for Them Properly
Natural nails are made of “dead cells.”
They don’t breathe and they don’t regenerate. This is an inherent limitation: nails can get worse, but they don’t get better, because they are not living cells.
Wiping nails with solvents removes oils, causing the surface to dry out and deteriorate.
Manicure products and base coats are solvents. Natural nails do not actually become stronger — it just feels that way. If they could truly get stronger, nail problems wouldn’t exist.
If the tip feels loose, use adhesive tape to secure it.

With one-touch tape, each tip takes about 10 seconds!
With UV one-touch tape, each tip can be attached in 15–30 seconds.

🎸 Budget Nail Tips vs Guitar Nails
📌 Differences in Material and Thickness
Budget Nail Tips – Material: ABS resin, acrylic resin
- Made thin and soft, assuming reinforcement with gel or similar products
- Tips can easily dent, especially with steel or wound strings
Guitar Nails – Material: Celluloid
- Excellent balance of hardness and flexibility, highly favored for playing guitar
- This is supported not just by our opinion, but by historical popularity and sales rankings of guitar picks
🎯 Key Difference: Purpose
Budget Nail Tips – For fashion and aesthetics
Guitar Nails – For playing guitar, where tone and playability are essential
😃 How to Remove Nail Tips
Using a tape remover allows you to remove them easily and cleanly.
⚠️ Caution
UV tape cannot be removed with tape remover alone.
Take advantage of the material’s weaknesses — shear 🪓 and softness 🧸 — and gradually cut under the tape with a tape-off cutter.
Since adhesive makes up about half of the tape, using tape remover 💧 alongside the cutter is also effective.
The tape-off cutter is included 📦 with UV one-touch tape.

Soak the remover and gently twist the tip from side to side. Acrylic foam is weak against shear, so remove it gradually by shifting it little by little. One-Touch Tape XL can be removed using the remover alone.

Comparison of Materials & Guitar Nails Around the World
⚠️ Caution! Tape Removers
Celluloid is sensitive to solvents and can dissolve ⚡ Not all tape removers are safe to use.
Safe Tape Removers:
- Daiso Sticker Remover Spray (white cap) — works perfectly if it’s the spray type
Unsafe Tape Removers:
- Doichi Dissolvit
- Daiso Sticker Remover Spray (blue cap)
- Konishi Bond Sticker Remover (gel type)
🔎 We will continue testing various tape removers and update our evaluations regularly 📑
☝️ Caution for Long-Term Wear
Even guitar nails can put extra stress on your natural nails if worn continuously 24 hours a day.
Like fashion nails, keeping them “covered” for long periods can trap moisture and affect the natural health of your nails.
SABI P!CKS guitar nails are designed for easy attachment and removal. When not playing, you can remove them, allowing your natural nails to grow freely. Once your nails have grown sufficiently, you can even play directly on your natural nails. This design balances protection with nails and using your natural nails.
Remove them before sleeping. You won’t be playing while you sleep, so it’s safe to take them off at night.

🎸 Guitar Nail Q&A
Q. Do strings get caught in the gap near the cuticle?
A. This can happen with techniques like rasgueado or slamming. QUICK is designed to cover the nail all the way to the base, eliminating gaps and preventing strings from slipping in.
Q. Won’t double-sided tape come off easily?
A. One-touch tape is strong against sudden forces and pulling directions, like those in instrument playing. Its flexibility absorbs sudden force, making it hard to peel off. It is weaker against continuous force. Proper adhesion depends on ensuring full contact.
Q. Isn’t it a hassle to attach the nails each time?
A. Each nail takes only about 15 seconds to attach. Considering the comfort of avoiding nail breaks or restrictions in daily life, the effort is well worth it.
Q. Will my natural nails become thin or weak?
A. Gel or adhesive nails can peel the nail surface during removal or trap moisture, making nails prone to damage. Guitar Nails QUICK use no adhesive and can be worn only when needed, minimizing stress on natural nails.
Q. Should I remove them every time?
A. Absolutely! Removing them lets you enjoy activities like sports 🎳 or bowling safely.
Q. Any disadvantages?
A. Sold online only. If timing is bad, you may not get them immediately. Stock up as needed. Production is not prioritized for anyone.
Q. Which is better, CUSTOM or QUICK?
A. QUICK inherits all the benefits of CUSTOM while solving its issues with further improvements.
